Passing the Parcel

Based on the vibrant coasts of Goa, Minakshi is a visual storyteller whose practice is rooted in the “quiet depth of the everyday,” acting as a bridge between the world we inhabit and the worlds we imagine. Her art is an invitation to step into a familiar dream where nostalgia and emotion intersect, dwelling in the “slightly altered” to transform the ordinary into the iconic. She captures the tension between individuality and our shared experience, finding a profound peace in the silence of one’s own company. To look at a canvas by Minakshi is to witness the architecture of identity; she does not merely paint figures, but rather the fragments of memory and subtle shifts in emotion that define us. In her world, a simple bubble can hold the weight of a rainbow, and a solitary gaze speaks volumes of the universal human story.
