Biju Cherayath
Biju is an artist whose soul finds resonance in the elements of the Earth. Her creative process is deeply rooted in textures, colours, and moods of nature, specifically the ancient, story-laden surfaces of rocks and terrains. Through her work, she brings nature into a cosmopolitan lens, showing us how earthly tones and shifting colours can shape emotion and memory. Biju’s art has journeyed with her through the worlds of design and education, and now she is a full-time practitioner. She has worked with TCL and taught at prestigious institutions like Jain and Wigan & Leigh College, but her heart found a home in the studio, located in Frazer Town. She balances two enduring passions: creating art and nurturing the creative spark in children and adults alike, believing that everyone has an artist within. Her canvases, much like her neighbourhood, are alive with contrast - nature and city, tradition and innovation, colour and silence. Each of her canvases invites the viewer to pause, to feel, and to connect with the elemental beauty that surrounds and shapes us all.
