Early Life and Background
Site Of The Day
At twenty-eight, Basil Joseph Varghese navigates the world through the unique lens of Asperger's Syndrome (ASD), translating his distinct sensory experience into a vibrant language art. Mentored by Ashil Antony since 2013, Basil’s journey is one of quiet determination—from clearing his 12th board exams via NIOS to mastering graphic design at the Zee Institute of Creative Art (ZICA). His perspective, celebrated through the "Outsider Art" program at the Kochi Muziris Biennale and multiple eCAPA exhibitions, offers a bridge between the neurodivergent experience and the global stage. Having showcased his work internationally at the Nehru Centre in London through Atypical Advantage, Basil proves that his condition is not a barrier, but a foundational part of his "Art Through My Eyes," inviting viewers to see the beauty of a world rendered with meticulous, atypical brilliance.
